Placing an order
Each order is reviewed as it arrives and should there be any queries or issues arising, we will get in touch with you. Otherwise the order should be processed and dispatched, usually within 1-2 days.
We aim to ensure that the information on this website is correct and up to date. However, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage arising from the use of this information, nor can we be held responsible should it become inadvertently out of date.
Our jars may occasionally change in appearance slightly from those shown for quality control reasons. If there are any significant changes we’ll contact you before dispatch. Purely Pickled Eggs reserves the right to remove products from its range at any time without prior notice and without liability. Prices may change from time to time and all products are subject to availability.
Orders are accepted at the sole discretion of Purely Pickled Eggs and are subject to your credit or account card being authorised for the transaction. All transactions are conducted through PayPal’s secure server which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential.
Payment is taken as you place your order and if the payment does not authorise successfully, your order will not be successfully processed. Please check that you receive not only a confirmation of your order but also a confirmation of your payment by email. If you have not received one of these, your order may not have been placed successfully.If you wish to pay by cheque please call us on 01453 298565 for details of how to place your order. Cheques should be made payable to “Purely Pickled Eggs Ltd”.
We take great pride in the quality and condition of our product and it should reach you in the best possible condition. When you receive your order please open it as soon as possible and inspect it. If you aren’t happy with what you find, please call us within 48 hours on 01453298565 and/or if possible email pictures to email@example.com and we will do our best to put it right.
Likewise if the box has been damaged during delivery, please call us within 48 hours and if possible email us pictures. Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods passes to you, as the buyer, on delivery so please contact us straight away. No claim for damage or deterioration after delivery can be accepted unless we’re informed within 48 hours. Nor can we accept any responsibility for quality deterioration due to the following delivery problems:
- Incorrect addresses
- Unopened parcels
- Delayed deliveries due to weather problems.
- Gifts to recipients who have gone away or are unable to receive parcels.
- More than 3 unsuccessful attempts to deliver the parcel
Purely Pickled Eggs retains all rights of ownership and possession of the goods until full payment has been received.
We cannot accept returned goods which are not faulty, except by prior arrangement in which case we will deduct the original cost of postage and packing from any refund, plus a 15% handling fee. The goods must be returned in perfect condition, in the original packaging and suitable for re-sale. Your statutory rights are not affected.
We use an overnight courier for delivery to most of the UK. To some parts of Scotland and offshore islands, delivery can take longer. Surcharge zones are as follows:
- The Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly
- DD, DG, EH, FK, G, KA (except KA27 & KA28), KY, ML, TD, AB1 to 16, AB21 to 25, AB30, AB39, PA1 to 19 and PH1 to 3
- AB31 to 38, AB40 to 56, IV30 to 32, IV36, IV40, IV1 to 28, IV52 to 54, IV63, KW1 to 14, PA21 to 38, PH4 to 41, PH49, PH50 and BT (Northern Ireland)
- HS, IV41 to 49, IV51, IV55 and 56, KA27 & 28, KW15 to 17, PA20, PA41 to 49, PA60 to 78, PH42 to 44, ZE, IM (Isle of Man), GY & JE (Channel Islands) and
Republic of Ireland
We do our best to deliver on the date you have requested but at busy times of the year delivery times can be extended. Please make sure that the delivery address and postcode are correct as we cannot be responsible for non-delivery due to an incorrect address. Likewise in the event of extreme weather or other events out of our control (eg civil actions, delivery vehicle breakdown etc) we cannot be responsible for any delivery delays.It is best if someone is available to receive and sign for the delivery but we can arrange for the couriers to leave the parcel safely without a signature. If no one is home, the couriers will do this at their discretion if they feel it is safe to do so. Please anticipate that the recipient may have to go out unexpectedly or may not hear the doorbell and leave extra instructions succinctly describing a safe place for the parcel.
If you wish to cancel you need to contact us quickly. You may cancel an order without penalty as long as we receive the notification before it has been processed for delivery.
